Yes, the trend of spinning vinyl is very much alive in our hearts, but I'll be the first to admit that the trend is slowly dying. I wish I could say that I myself run with vinyl but I can't. I'm just starting out. These days its all done serato. In an industry where most music is mp3, it was a matter of time til most DJ's followed along. And in a way, it makes sense. Its more convenient, easier. So the question, Is the art of scratching vinyl dead? Well as long as there are cats who love their craft (DJ Heavy Evan A.K.A. HEKTIC), Vinyl will never fade.Keep diggin' those crates!
agreed. all the record shops for deejays & vinyl diggers are shutting down [Stacks Vinyl in Cerritos & Ontario] and the only spot you can find records nowadays is in deep Long Beach or Melrose. I've built up 2 crates, but thas it. Rollin' with MP3 crates now.
